Vinification and ageing

Destemming and crushing of the clusters, clarification of the sediment, fermentation with temperature control at 20 degrees Celsius, maturation 75% in stainelss steel and 25% in large oak casks, the wine rests on the lees for 6 months

The small property is run by the Kerschbaumer family. Wine has been estate bottled since 1995. Before then grapes were sold to other local wineries. The vineyards are in a lovely position at 700 mts above sea level and dense plantings, combined with cool nights in the summer, contribute to make these wines extremely fresh and aromatic. Besides Pinot Gris also Kerner, Gewuerztraminer, Mueller Thurgau, Riesling and Sylvaner are grown.
