The estate, which is in the classical zone of Sankt Magdalena, exists since the XII century and was originally owned by a monastery. The property was purchased by the grandfather of the present owner who used to sell wine in bulk. Wine started being bottled in 1970. Indigenous varietals of Alto Adige - Pink Muscat. Schiava (Vernatsch) and Lagrein - are grown together with a small quantity of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Bianco.
